Festival of Tree's 2012
It's that time of year again when Maddy's starts doing her dance recitals. They are so fun to watch and quite entertaining. Given that all the girls are between 3-4 years old you never know what to expect! This will be her second year in dance and she loves it! And she loves dancing for everyone. This year her costume is adorable! Last year I wasn't too impressed with her outfit but this year they are so bright and fun. This video is of her first dance recital for the year. I am not sure how I got so lucky and landed a front row seat since the Festival of Tree's is always packed full. A little ways into the dance Maddy and the little girl in front of her get distracted and are both doing the same move while the rest of the class is doing a different part. Made me laugh! At least she wasn't alone ;)

HALLOWEEN 2012
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I have had fun this year picking out the kids costumes. John bought me a fancy camera for my birthday and I have used that to do the kids pictures. I have been using purchased Apps instead of photoshop to edit the photos. I don't have time nor do I have any desire to learn photoshop! Anyway here are some of my before and after pictures of the kids Oh and don't mind my attempt at a "green screen" aka Maddy's blanket! Whatever gets the job done right?

The Exciting World Of Facebook!
Have you heard? Of Facebook? Well everyone and their dog...I mean that literally some people have Facebook for their dog. Anyway I am currently friends with or "like" one of our local country stations Facebook page. Yesterday I read a comment they had posted which said this:
"Nashville recording group Due West is playing in Rexburg at the Romance Theater tonight at 6pm.Tomorrow morning at 9:30 they'll play a private show in The Hawk Performing Arts Center (aka our conference room). The next 15 comments to this post get to come enjoy free breakfast & the show. Ready GO!". I was the 4Th person to comment on their post so I was able to go! It was way fun, not only did we meet and talk with these three guys they played about 6 songs (which were amazing). They even played a few that weren't yet recorded...which I already can't wait for them to do so I can buy them! I also bought there CD while I was there since I enjoyed the music so much. They took pictures and signed a picture of themselves for everyone also! It was way fun and I didn't go alone Alli came with me! Even though she hates country I dragged her along! Not only did I win this from the radio station I also won the new Blake Shelton CD for commenting on a car dealerships website! yesterday was my lucky day! Here is an awesome picture of Alli and I and the band! Due West

Happy July!
Looks like it has been a while since I posted anything! Life has been crazy with 4 kids that's for sure! So here is my attempt to update on my little family.
John is still in Iraq :'( and has been since last November. He has been gone since last Aug though. I flew down last November and we spent a weekend together in Mississippi before he had to fly out. A couple weeks ago he was finally able to come home for 15 days and spend some much needed time with me and the kids. It was long over due. He will return to the states in Aug. Which is about 38 days...yes I have started a countdown seeing I am no longer in the triple digits. I am crossing my fingers he makes it home by my birthday, a girl can wish I guess!
Parker has been loving the warm weather, that is when it decides to show up. He recently learned how to ride his bike without training wheels and that seems to be all he wants to do! He starts Kindergarten at Discovery Elementary this fall and he can't wait. I am excited for him too. Oh and a little funny story about Parker. I use to get after him when he wouldn't pick up stuff right in front of his face...or see something that was right in front of his face....I took him to the eye dr recently since they recommend it for children starting school. And apparently Park is far sighted! I don't even have to elaborate ;D
Max has been my naughty 2 year old. Pretty sure one of the worst ever! I call him my runner. Anytime we are out somewhere and he is let loose...he is gone. He loves playing with his brother and especially teasing him. He misses his dad the most out of all the kids I think. He had the hardest time when John had to go back. Max is becoming very smart though! Using full sentences and learning his shapes and colors.
Maddy is my little diva. She loves everything girl. I catch her wearing my shoes and she is constantly dressing up and putting on skirts. I made the mistake once leaving my mascara out..and little miss got her hands on it and attempted to put it on her lashes...not gonna lie she did a pretty good job for only being 2! She also loves to sing and dance. I have her enrolled in a dance class this fall and I can't wait for her to start!
Brody bear as I like to call him is already almost 2 months! He is a good baby, only cry's when he is hungry. He loves to be in the same room as his brothers and sister just to watch them run around. He has been smiling a little lately which I am so excited about. I was able to catch a couple pictures early one morning of him smiling.
As for me, I am doing a bad job at not working on school! I am a little behind and only have tell November to finish. Crossing my fingers I do. I have no spare time these days. With 4 kids my life has defiantly changed. I can't wait for my husband to finally be home and make me sane again! I miss him!

3 DAYS AFTER MY LAST POST...
Brody Kim SewardBrody arrived! He was born May 14th 2011 at 3:41 pm weighing in at 7lbs 12 ounces and 20 inches long! He is the sweetest boy! I went in for a regular check-up on Friday the 13th and my BP was horrible! So the DR said she would deliver me. I went in Friday night and then they started me the following morning. Labor was awful! After I was dilated to a 5 I decided I couldn't take the pain anymore and i wanted an epidural. And what happens? He can't seem to hit the right spot to give me one. By then I was in so much pain I thought I was gonna die! After I had dilated to an 8 I told them to find someone else to give me pain med...and what happens? That guy couldn't do it either! Plus he missed the spot he was suppose to go and went in further which they call something but I can't remember. After he was done messing up my back I knew it was time to push and I couldn't wait to get him out! The pain was almost unbearable. I told them I had to push and she said to give her a little push...right after she told me to stop and ran out of the room to get the Dr...and two pushes later Brody arrived! He is perfectly healthy minus a little Jaundice. He is the perfect addition to our family...and the last!

16 days and counting...and I'm HUGE!

I have officially started a countdown for my pregnancy. I can't believe I have made it as far as I have! Parker was born 5 weeks early and stayed in the hospital for about 2 weeks before he got to come home. The twins were also born 34 weeks and 5 days early. Max stayed in for about two weeks but Maddy came home sooner. I assumed I would be having this last baby around the 5 week early mark also.... but I have since passed that! The family was convinced he would be here in April...but then it came and went. Next they thought the first of May...well now were a week and a half into May! If I don't have him before May 27th then this will be the day I will have him! Crossing my fingers he comes a little sooner. I am so swollen! Half my shoes don't fit because my feet are so fat, and I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring in a few months. I think the little guy has finally dropped though..seeing I pee every 5 min and he occasionally hits my pelvic bone! He moves a ton...sometimes to much! But I am ready or well I guess maybe I'm not! Either way I have 16 days. Hopefully less.

What's your favorite scary movie?
Scrrrrreeeeeaaaaaammmm! Okay that was a little much ha ha ha but I am so excited for tonight! My first scary movie I ever watched was Scream. I think I was a sophomore in high school the first time I saw it. Scared me so bad! They have made a total of 3 over the past 15 years until now! They just came out with a new one... Scream 4. My sister Alli and I are going to go see it tonight then hit up Chuck A Rama after! ( I have been craving it for about 5 months but the only sister I could get to go with me was Alli) It will be so much fun! I am sure on a Thursday afternoon (going at the 4:55 showing) there will probably be an empty theater! Which is even better!

One little monkey...

Was jumping off the bed (Maxton) and fell off and broke his leg! I took Maxton to Urgent Care last night because while I was on the phone with his dad he came crying and limping out of his sisters room! Nothing looked broken so I thought he might have sprained his ankle or something down that line. After he continued to cry and say "hurt" and "ouch" I decided to take him in. Well it turns out he indeed broke his leg! I saw the X-Ray and to me is just looked like a crack in his bone. But I know nothing about bones! I will be going back in to get a permanent cast on his leg in a few days. Dr said it will take about 4-6 weeks to heal. Which hopefully it heals fast before summer! Who knew you could in fact break a bone playing on a bed.

Shake it!
I was in the kitchen earlier with the twins when out of the blue Max stopped and said "shake it" and started shaking his hips side to side! Made me laugh it was sooo cute! I started recording it but couldn't seem to get him to say shake it again but it was fun to watch both him and Maddy "shake it" :D

Oh The Joys
My little Maxton has been one grumpy little boy lately. I know they call it the terrible two's and well that is exactly what it is. He was in one of his moods today starting with in incident in the car when he asked me for a drink and shortly after in a loud mad voice said "now". I laughed, I was so shocked my little baby boy was being so demanding! So I decided I would record him being his naughty little self. And he didn't like it.....

New Years Resolution
I am the worst at these things! I always want to make goals and I am good for about a week and then well I give up or just forget I had made goals! But maybe this year will be different? Ha ha ha guess I will see! So my long list of goals equals to about 3 things...okay so it's not to long but I had to start somewhere!

I want to be debt free! John and I both have about 5 credit cards I want to pay off and then cut up! We will still owe money on a house and a car but I want out of the smaller debt we have. I know I am going to have to watch my spending (which isn't usually a problem) and get us out of debt before John returns home from Iraq. Not to mention with baby #4 on the way I don't want to have to worry about money owed. I know we can be it's possible. Especially money coming from the tax return we will be very close to getting it all taken care of. First card to go will be Best Buy! John is so naughty with that card. He loves his electronics!
GOAL #1
Run on the treadmill at least 20 minuets a day. (lol I had to set my goal small or else I would fail everyday! My goal is to at least run 20 but if that's all I can do then at least made my goal!)

Double whammy! I don't want to drink soda anymore. I have been addicted for so long and I just want to stop. I need to make water my best friend! Also to stop eating out. I am the worst. It's so much easier for me to grab the kids some food that someone else made so I don't have to do anything. I like the convenience the most I guess. I know this one will be hard but I am going to do it!

The twins both got these talking singing ride on pony's for Christmas. A few days before they were to get them I thought that I should maybe just take them back that they wouldn't really like them. I kept asking John what he thought and he said just keep them! Regular price was $40 a piece but I hit a sale and got both of them for $40. Thinking I would just see if they like them on Christmas if not I will return them.... well it turns out these little pony's are their favorite toy! They are always pushing his ear to make it talk and sing and they are constantly dragging them around the house to ride on them! I guess it was a good investment! Here are the babies having fun on the pony's....

Too cute :) The first picture with the tiny arrow is pointing too his little man part! Second pic is a side profile, and the third he has his hand in the air right above his head! My sweet little boy!

Counting down the days
John sent me a few of his photos while he is on tour in Iraq. It's fun to see what he has been up too! I do get to talk to him everyday. He calls me at least twice a day. He also has access to the internet so we talk through email, facebook and also skype! As hard as it has been having him gone I am so glad I am one of the lucky ones who gets to talk and see my man everyday!

Breakfast with Santa!
I took Parker to have Breakfast with Santa this morning! It was fun...kinda. It was done by the school and I purchased a pass for Parker, Allison and I. We ate pancakes and sausage! Parker isn't a shy boy but when he sat on Santa's lap he didn't say anything he wanted for Xmas...he just kinda sat there! But at least he believed he was the real Santa and I was able to get a cute picture!

Footsteps In The Sand
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:
one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
